Galaga Legions

The original Galaga had you traversing levels shooting at bugs as they attacked in specific and predetermined waves. The new Galaga Legions stays true to its roots with five areas divided into four to five levels. Each level of each area is infested with constant waves of enemies. Lines trace the paths enemies will take as they follow scripted entrances. While the game’s mechanics are simple, the difficulty is most definitely not as swarms of enemies fill the screen, surround your ship, and rapes you with all manors of attacks. The enemies are plentiful, the patterns are demanding, and your reflexes have to be spot-on to survive. This game will break you.

Fifth Grade Funeral

In the fifth grade our teacher had us do a special project. We had to make an ecosystem out of soda bottles and tape. An ecosystem is supposed to be some kind of self sufficient environment where plants and land critters live along with sea plants and sea creatures.

The bottom layer had water and sea weed in it, which was supposed to help the top part. The top part the ecosystem had dirt and little plants in it, but we also had to put animals in the ecosystem too. So we put a grasshopper and a spider in the top part with the dirt, and we put a snail and a fish in the water part.

We spent the next couple of weeks watching over our little ecosystems, and we would record anything new that we saw. The grasshopper died, and I’m not sure where the spider went but I’m sure it didn’t survive either. Later the plants started growing and we all got really excited because our ecosystems were all working.

I would watch my fish and snail everyday and they would simply go about their lives eating and pooping everywhere. The snail would clean up everything by eating it. he would go all over the sides of the bottle and eat the algae stuff that grew on it. He also ate the fish poop. The fish ate the see weed I think, and would usually just swim around and move the rocks.

At the end of the project we got to take everything home with us. I was so happy because the fish and snail were my first pets. When I got home I showed my mom my ecosystem and said I could keep it in the kitchen. Everyday I when I got home I would watch them for hours. They made me really happy whenever I saw them doing stuff.

Anyways, after about a month, I woke and my mom didn’t say good morning like she always did. I felt it was strange but I didn’t think much about it cause I wanted to see my fish and snail. Well on that morning, I found out why my mom didn’t say anything to me at first. When I went to see my ecosystem the first thing I noticed was that the snail looked funny, and that I couldn’t find my fish. So as I turned my ecosystem around to look fir the fish my mom comes up and says she’s sorry, and that’s when I found my fish, squished under the rocks. My snail had died as well. My mom had apparently knocked over my ecosystem while trying to clean but had been too lazy to move it instead of attempting to clean around it.

I went to my room and cried the rest of the day. That was my first experience with death, and it has not been my last.

Whoop A.S.S.

My fictional product for this class will be Whoop A.S.S.

I think it's funny.

I could literally open a can of Whoop A.S.S. on people.

I like it cause it shoots boots at people's faces. That, and because I can carry a can in my pocket desguised as a Coke. It's practical joke making to the extreme!

New Product: Whoop A.S.S.

Victory Guaranteed…

Hudson, NH (15OCT2008) There will be a field demonstration of Whoop A.S.S. this Friday at Noon.

Whoop A.S.S. has proven itself as the most effective anti-personnel device ever created. It has the phenomenal power while remain small enough to fit in a can. The device has been recommended by several organizations such as, the U.S. Army, F.B.I., C.I.A., and S.W.A.T.

Anyone interested in security and personal defense products should come down and have a look at this new revolutionary product. Whoop A.S.S. has caused quite a stir within the U.S. Military as the smallest non-lethal anti-personnel device. The small aluminum cylinder can fit inside a back pack or purse while still providing enough power to stop a slow moving vehicle.

Whoop A.S.S. fires a compressed size thirteen boot from an eight ounce
can. The force of impact is enough to knock over a truck without causing significant damage to the vehicle. The device is triggered by operating a small level attached to the top of the cylinder. The lever breaches a pressure point in the cylinder that acts as the triggering mechanism. The boot flies out of the cylinder and strikes with astonishing accuracy.

Orders for Whoop A.S.S. can not be taken at the event, however those who attend this event will be given preference and expedited shipping with discounted shipping and handling.

This definitely not an event you want to miss!

What Do I Want?

I wanted to be a soldier. I watched all kinds of war movies as a child. I played every war related video game I could, read books on military vehicles, and dream of becoming a great general.

When I turned eighteen, i enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I left for basic training in August 2005. The day I left happened to be the same day that hurricane Katrina started terrorizing the southern gulf. I spent most of my enlistment training and repairing the damaged southern communities and I enjoyed serving my country. After about a year though, I was able to leave the Air Force. My plan was to go to college and then become an officer.

Now, I'm twenty one years old and things are still the same. I plan to go back to the military, but this time I'm not sure if I'll be an officer. I need a BS degree in order to become one, but with the way our economy is these days I'm not sure I can afford to stay in school. If I drop out, then I'll leave for the military right away. I have a job right now, but it's no where close to what I need to make to survive. So in the end, I may return after this semester, which isn't what I wanted. I like my school and everyone in it. My classmates taught me more about living than anyone else. Everyone is so different, and we come from different lifestyles.

There are many other reasons I choose military service as a way of life, but I'm not ready to write about them.

You Wanna What!?

Writing a news article isn't supposed to be this hard. I wanted to do an article about where all of the food from fast food places goes when they can't sell all of it, but almost everyone I talked to refused to be interviewed. It's like they're scared that they might get in trouble for tossing their salads outside.

Honestly though, I think they just didn't trust me. Maybe if I had proof that wasn't some kind of secret humanitarian agent, they'd let me have my interview. Then again lol, maybe they don't trust me cause I'm black and hungry?
